Effective Situational Management: What they say about it?

Effective Situational Management Seminar in Sodexho Hotel Vuoranta, Helsinki. Organized by Halton Competence Center (Finland), Kolme Dee Ltd (Finland) and W.J.Reddin & Associates B.V. (the Netherlands). Participants were Halton-managers from 9 countries.

  • What we have seen is common sense, but the seminar makes you realise and see this sense.
  • How to use quite simple tools which help me to increase my effectiveness.
  • Tools that help me in my work.
  • Good managerial tools for everybody, especially the Job Effectiveness Description with Effectiveness Areas, Measurement Areas and Authority Areas.
  • Management Position Analysis (MPA) very good tool, output very worthwhile.
  • Quite positive; it helps to understand my own behavior better.

  • The importance of being aware about the situation before you try to change/improve it.
  • What is required from a situation; bringing my style and a situation's requirements into line.
  • I will re-read my managerial effectiveness charts. Do the check where I can improve the effectiveness.
  • Rewrite my Job Description to Job Effectiveness Description.
  • Analyse myself and others better, be able to improve myself and others.
  • Try to decrease the score of less effective styles and compensate them with corresponding more effective styles.
